  6. Did you floor pouf come "unstuffed?" If so, what kind of filling did you use?

  7. Love this entire room! Did you do this as an e-design or did you install locally? I think I'd be interested in you helping me with my next room. I just love this.

    1. it was a local project....and the "install" happened pretty slowly--i made several visits to the room to OK things, and help place art, etc. but YES. it is local, but most of the "installing" was done by my client.

  14. Such a beautiful design! The only thing I worry about is the image of the masked guy with the gun (a Jedi? Sorry it's probably something I should know). Only because my kids would have had nightmares over these kinds of images......Otherwise - really love the color pallet, texture, and young masculine elements!

    1. ha! that is a sketch of boba fett---the daddy is a huge star wars buff and insisted that his little man get educated on all things intergalactic as soon as possible! :)

  15. wonderful room! something he'll be able to grow into.
Can you share the source for the boba fett sketch portrait? It would be perfect in my little fella's room!

    1. my clients have had that sketch for some time--i believe they picked it up at a local trade show or art fair. you may be able to find something similar on etsy!

  16. This is a beautiful space! However, the lamp cord by the crib is a strangulation hazard!!! I know the little guy can't reach it now, but he will be scooting and rolling around the crib before you know it. As a Pediatric ICU nurse, I advise you to choose safety over beauty.

    1. yep. we knew that the lamp was too close as soon as it went up. it will be moved before the little guy starts rolling around. appreciate the heads up though! thank you!

  22. Do you have any feedback on the wallpaper? Have you ever had the experience of taking it down? I would love to do this in my sons room, but my Husband is worried I will ruin the ceiling if we ever want to take it down.

    ReplyDelete

    1. my clients love the wallpaper...and as far as taking it down, it shouldn't be too difficult.the glue used for wallpaper application is water based and so what doesn't come off with some good tugging can be soaked off.

  23. I really love everything about this room. I am wanting to buy that same pouf, but through the link (or other sites i've found) the color looks much more brown than yours - and I really like that sort of orangey tint yours seems to have. Do the link pics look more brown than yours in person? I also noticed the top stitching was a little different...

  27. I LOVE your rug. I saw that you had already owned it prior to designing the nursery. Do you remember where you purchased it from? I would love to find one very similar to yours :)

    1. it belongs to my client, and was a given to her by a family member, who bought it while on a trip to south america! sorry---i don't know if a source to find one, but ebay or etsy might be good places to start!

  28. I'm thinking of using this wallpaper on my nursery ceiling, as well. Love it. Does it look as good in person as in the pics? Any warnings? My fear is putting it up and then being stuck with it! Does it make the room seem smaller/shorter? Is the wallpaper linked the same wallpaper you used? Thanks so much!

  29. Hi there Autumn! I am in love with this beautiful nursery you've designed! I know it's been a while since you posted, but I was wondering if there was any way you wouldn't mind sharing your secret to the rounded brown legs on the Ikea crib? I adore the way it brings the crib design up a notch and desperately want to add that detail to my same crib. :) I'm 1/2 way through the rocker hack as well and loving it. Thank you so, so much, and beautiful work! xo
