first off, i have to say that these pictures really don't do the town justice-- the town is so vibrant and quaint and (at this time of year) filled with flowers.
here is a look at some of the pictures we took:
the downtown area.
a yummy fruit and cheese plate we enjoyed.
the best meal we ate while we were there was at five- fusion & sushi bar. we loved the interiors, and in particular, this water feature--a suspended glass ceiling filled with water.
across the bridge, and seperated from downtown by a few bridges and lovely parks, is the drake park neighborhood historic district.
you can catch glimpse of some of the houses on the river from a park adjacent to downtown.
we spent a little file driving around the neighborhood and taking some pictures before we headed out of town. here are a few of our favorite houses...
(this one is my favorite! notice the built-in brick planter to the right side of the porch? LOVE.
