design crush: turner davis interiors

i love it when i find out that several rooms that i have been
drooling over turn out to be designed
by the same designer or design team.
such was the case with many of the rooms in this post.
i had seen them here and
there, but it wasn't until i visited
atlanta based turner davis's
site that i realized that they
were the talented people behind them.
check out the lovliness:
oooo...more grey/taupe + orange!
check out the scale of those floor lamps!
such a simple and elegant space.
i am loving those charcoal walls!
the subtle yellow accents here are divine.
i don't see to many theater rooms that make me stop and stare.
this was, of course, an exception.
i've seen this picture several times,
and always love it.
love the fresh feel that the blue and green evoke,
and i am completely in love with those window treatments!
what a grand room...
its HUGE, but feels cozy and layered.
LOVE the mix here.
raffia headboard,
painted nightstand,
graphic fabric at the window,
modern white lamp
and crisp white bedding.
YES, please!
don't you just want to dive into that couch?
ahh...this porch is stunning.
love it, LOVE it.

love the photos from this rosemary beach home.
this house has the perfect "just beachy enough" vibe.
i'm loving all the white with the greige cabinets.
and check out that lamp!
wow...
it's like i died and went to heaven.
(if heaven was on the beach.)

design*crush: caldwell-flake interiors

in the last few months, i have seen a few
fabulous rooms on several different blogs that
literally took my breath away.
so, i decided to do a little "research"
on the geniuses behind those rooms,
and i found:
(aren't they both stunning?)
a mother daughter dream duo
(Mary Ruth Caldwell and
Lisa Caldwell Flake)
based in birmingham alabama.
(this verifies my husbands belief
that all things from alabama RULE.
i'll have to agree with him in this case.)
check out some of their work:
this room is perfection.
i love the burst of color that is introduced
in a bold cut velvet. love that dark ceiling too!
this room strikes a wonderful balance
between graphic and traditional,
monochomatic and colorful,
 elegance and chic.
check out the ceiling detail and the back of that banquette!
another beautiful grey kitchen.
yes! to: over scaled lamps, unique sunburst mirror,
patterned drapes and sumptuous suzani pillows!

yummy metallics really add some drama to this  bedroom.
LOVE the pops of citrine/grellow!
this room is absolutely gorgeous.
gor. geous.
notice the houndstooth on the bench?
i wonder if the homeowner is a crimson tide fan?
beautiful symmetry.
the bold wallpaper really makes a statement on the ceiling!
i love the large lamps, the back of the bookshelves painted dark,
and the trim on the bottom of the matching sofas.
this room has a masterful stroke of texture.
again, a subtle and sophisticated use of color that
i find so appealing...

that metallic wallpaper is beautiful balanced against the
marble...and check out the gothic detail on the cabinet fronts!
what a gorgeous portfolio!

design*crush: massucco warner miller

dream team:
julie massucco
melissa warner
and carrie miller

these three ladies have got
some serious style!
i love the way their interiors can range from subdued and earthy to
bold and upbeat. their use of color is sophisticated and fresh, and
comes in the perfect dose in each space.
love these roman shades. while the pattern is graphic, and rather bold,
it has a certain delicateness about it which works so well with the
other elements in the room.
bold draperies and upholstery are
masterfully balanced with the neutral walls, floors and sofa.
i've seen this picture around many times, and
it always brings a smile to my face.
isn't this cobalt sofa with the
white welting magical?
two of my faves in one space:
striped curtain panels, and a touch of zebra!
i think i could eat this room, it's that yummy!
i love how the ornate whimsical wallpaper is balanced with
the crisp bedding and all that white.
plus, i love me a box pleated bedskirt...
the color is this bedroom is so sophisticated!
the complimentary color scheme is subtle and classic
and perfectly balanced.
another smart use of complimentary colors,
this time in a bold way.
that chandelier is fabulous!
love the kelly wearstler fabric on the chair,
and the wall color is so soothing!
pops of orange on those stools really add to the warm feeling
this room evokes.
yes sir.
this is some fierce lady-power at work!
every picture in their portfolio was
absolute perfection.

their work here.
