i was at the grocery store yesterday, and saw something i just couldn't pass up:
a dozen roses for $3.50 AND an additional bouquet for $2.99. how could i possibly resist?
grocery market bouquets usually come with an assortment of flowers that are rather bold and bright.
whenever i buy these bouquets, i separate the flowers into two categories: the flowers i want to keep, and...um...the ugly flowers that don't "go" with the main bouquet i want to create. i take the "orphan" flowers and create a small arrangement.
i mixed the roses + the yellow flowers and filler from the secondary bouquet + some daisies that i had growing in my backyard to create this arrangement.
the result is a happy, cheerful flower arrangement that is doing the perfect job of adding a dose of "summer" to my office. and all for under $7. man, gotta love those grocery store bouquets!
