i was watching "the switch" recently on netflix, and looky what i spotted!
pretty wallpaper!
i know that its hard to believe that i wasn't staring at jason bateman's adorable face,
but instead was transfixed on the wallpaper behind him! but i was....
it was a wallpaper that i considered for a project about a year ago, and i still had a picture of it
on my phone....
it is called "muse" by osborne and little.
i am not entirely sure that it is still in production, but i did manage to find two colorways available here.
(i believe this is the color shown in the movie.)
do you ever do the same thing?
find yourself "lost" in a movie...
not focusing on the plot or the dialogue, but instead noticing the great pillow on the sofa, or finding yourself wondering WHERE in the world that lamp is from....or what is the paint color on the walls?
yeah.
i thought so!
me too.
happy weekend!
You crack me up...I do that too.
ReplyDeleteThat is so funny! What are the odds. Shows you have good taste! I have a large porcelain trojan horse that I got at DI for $30. It is in Seinfields apartment. We were watching an episode and I freaked out, "Thats my horse! Thats my same horse!". It was so odd.
ReplyDeleteYes! I did it during a very emotional scene in The Help and I spotted a fabric I had used on a project on a settee in the background! I was punching my friend going "LOOK, LOOK" and she was crying. What was so crazy is the set was for back prior to the Civil Rights movement and the fabric was brand new! Needless to say, my friend did not appreciate my distraction! Ha! M.
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw "The Breakup" all I could think was, I LOVE that condo! I haven't seen it since, so I'd have to go back and see if it still has the same effect on me. :)
ReplyDeleteI do it all the time (drives my husband nuts). One of my "favorite" movies has nothing to do with the acting, story, etc -- but the TOWNHOUSE (and other set/locatons) in which the action was filmed. The townhouse is still gorgeous to me after all these years (some of the other sets are also still terrific, though the colors are definitely dated). The film is called Chapter Two (autobiographical script by Neil Simon). Also the homes in most of Nancy Meyer's films (Something's Gotta Give, It's Complicated, The Holiday, Father of the Bride, Baby Boom to name a few) always seem to have a "starring role"
