tree alternative

i love real trees. really, i do. 
but i HATE the mess they make.

i've been trying to talk my man into buying 

a *fake* tree this year, 

but he's not onboard.

maybe a tree like this could be 

our compromise...?

or, maybe we could have both.

all it would take would be 
some plaster of paris, 
a nice terra cotta pot spray painted high gloss white,
 and some old branches.

and look at how scrumptious this square wreath is:

it looks like it's made from succulants.
i love the variations in the colors and textures.

so, so pretty.
