spotted: muse wallpaper by osborne + little

i was watching "the switch" recently on netflix, and looky what i spotted!
pretty wallpaper!

i know that its hard to believe that i wasn't staring at jason bateman's adorable face,
but instead was transfixed on the wallpaper behind him! but i was....

it was a wallpaper that i considered for a project about a year ago, and i still had a picture of it
on my phone....
it is called "muse" by osborne and little.
i am not entirely sure that it is still in production, but i did manage to find two colorways available here.

(i believe this is the color shown in the movie.)

do you ever do the same thing?
find yourself "lost" in a movie...
not focusing on the plot or the dialogue, but instead noticing the great pillow on the sofa, or finding yourself wondering WHERE in the world that lamp is from....or what is the paint color on the walls?

yeah.
i thought so!
me too.

happy weekend!

design spotting:tile

pretty tile detail in public bathroom:
this type of detail is a great way to get a
designer look on a budget.
the wall tiles (which appeared to be  porcelain, but this
look can be replicated using a ceramic tile as well)
can be found very inexpensively.
then the accent tile can be used like this in bands
to create this look.

and yes, people DO look at me like i am insane when
they see me taking pictures of the walls in public bathrooms.
but i don't mind.
we're all a little crazy on our own way,
don't you think?

out and about

check out this display
table at anthropologie!
i love the detail!
and speaking of detail, this shirt at anthropologie really
caught my eye. y'all know that i am in love with that
dusty teal color...but what i loved most were the rows
of ruffled lace. i think this shirt would translate
really well into a gorgeous pillow!
aren't these lamps fun?
that grommet detail would
be an easy diy project
on any existing lampshade in your home.
i loved these bright badgley mischka table cloths!
and this chevron cow-hide rug
was really pretty in person.

i loved the mix of refined + rustic in this
headboard at the sundance catalog clearance center.
even on sale, this was over $1500.
i totally think i could make it for under $100.
loved everything about this bedding from
z gallerie! the patterns... the colors.
i wanted to jump into the display bed and
take a nap. and aren't those lamps the
perfect shade of green?
and then i spotted this trellis knockoff pillow for
only $19! this baby came home with me.

design*spotting

design is all around us,
and if we look, we can
be inspired at
every turn.
take a look at the edge detail on this
mirror. isn't it lovely?
the whole mirror was very interesting...
and found in the bathroom of mcdonalds!
thanks for stepping up your game, mcdonalds!

i loved the copper color of this
glass tile, found in the bathroom of a movie theater.
(no, i don't take a picture of every public bathroom
i use...just the ones with interesting details!)

i have the BIG version of this table at home,
but this small version was adorable,
and only $69.

did you know that hobby lobby has a
huge assortment of anthropologie-like knobs?!
and most every one is under $6.

sorry for the blurry pictures...
at least i made sure to get the ones
in the shelves in focus...
:)
i found the detail on this apron irresistible!
i thought it would look fabulous on a pillow,
or on the edge of some drapes.
and i loved this wooden "stump",
used as a stool in the dressing
room of anthropologie. wouldn't
something like this be great in a walk -in
closet, or right beside a bathtub?
***
so, there you have it.
always keep you eyes open for
interesting details, good  finds, and
great ideas. you never know when you
can use that inspiration to
make something purty.
