sent me some pictures of her 14 year old daughter's and
asked for some suggestions.
and so i gave her the name of the paint color that
i painted my oldest daughters room:
benjamin moore's copper patina-619:
she happened to be in town a few weeks
ago, and we got to spend a lovely day
together shopping and talking and eating.
she showed me some pictures of the
progress she had made on her daughter's room,
and wanted some more suggestions.
we stopped by home fabrics, and this is
what i pulled together:
i thought that the addition of another bold, more tailored
black and white print,
plus a feminine floral in this pretty peachy-pink
would be great additions to the room.
we talked about pillows, and sizes,
and she went back home and went to work.

and here is a peek at the progress.
i love how it looks!
don't be afraid to mix in some additional color
and pattern to a kids room...or any room for that matter.
it's those layers of color and texture and pattern that
take a room from "meh" to "wow".
love your fabric choices. Great job.
