affordable finds: my picks

ahhh...
i had a lot of fun reading the comments from yesterdays post.
thanks for going "shopping" with me.
and yes, i FULLY intend to make "buy this, not that" a series.
it will give me a great excuse to go shopping...tj maxx, pier 1, z gallerie...
no place will be safe from my iphone camera and judgmental ideals!
ha. ha.
but today, i thought i would share some affordable finds
i rounded up from around cyber space.
get out your credit cards...
there's some pretty good stuff out there.
39.95
i love this pattern...it's fun and sassy and yet
manages to be minimal and sophisticated at the same time.
perfect for a guest bedroom or teens room.
1.95
wouldn't this make a beautiful pillow?
the colors are sensational.
(grrr...just found out this is no longer available online...)

2.39
i love the way candle light looks inside an
antiqued/mercury glass votive. and, these can be used
all year long!

14.99
i really love the way orange looks, paired with soft neutrals,
and this pillow has some some amazing texture.
(this pillow wouldn't know a THING about bunions...or taxes)

12.97ea
i adore the geo pattern on these sheets! if they had
them in king size, they would be on my bed right NOW.

6.00
at just $6.00, you can afford to buy two.

104.00
classic and chic.
and the scale is so small it can be used in virtually
any room of the house. wouldn't it look great in an
entry way, adorned with a fantastic pillow?

9.95
i love wreaths made from natural materials,
and you just CANNOT beat this price.

14.99
the simple, graphic appeal of this shower
curtain would perk up any bathroom.
(except maybe the bathroom in my rental house,
where it would clash horribly with the sage green
and tan floraly/antique looking stripey leaf things.)

2.95
a great burst of color for anything with a drawer.

21.97
i adore this shower curtain.
it makes me happy.
if it were a skirt, i would wear it.

4.99
adding this hook to a closet, entry or bath is a great way
to add some texture and interest and function!

happy shopping.
again.
hey, i am just doing my part
to help stimulate the economy.

  1. Love this post...especially the knob (I'm such a believer in jazzy hardware), linnen duvet, the votives and the x back chair! Thanks for the morning inspiration :).
